Good Morning Guest

Financial aspects of care services

CareSeeker (Lancashire) has provided the following guide and links to the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and Lancashire County Council's web site to provide you with up-to-date, unbiased information.

How much will I have to pay?

This depends on the care you need and how much your council decides it will pay towards your care. Find out more below:

Additional information

Important: the information in this section is a basic guide. You should still speak to your council and get independent advice about managing your money.

Paying for care yourself

If you want to pay for your care yourself you should still contact your council. You are entitled to a care assessment from your council to help find out what kind of care you need.

Direct Payments

There is a system called direct payments where your council pays money directly into your bank account. You can use the money from direct payments to choose and pay for your own care services.
